First of all, I want to go on the record and make it clear that I am not a marketing guru, nor am I attempting to claim to be one. I am simply an average individual, much like yourself, who had a vision of making money with the internet.
When I got started with internet marketing in 2008, I was clueless about what to do, where do start, or how to do anything. I was like a kid that was being taught how to ride a bike. Similar to the amount of times you fall off the bike and sometimes injuring yourself, so was my track record for the marketing arena. I joined program after program only to find myself back at square one, a failure to say the least. In the world of marketing, we call that "getting burned", which relates to the injuries that come with learning how to ride that bike as a kid.
It dawned on me one day the amount of money I was spending on these programs versus the amount of cash I was bringing in. The numbers were obviously not adding up. I was actually in the negative. So I sat back and evaluated myself to see what exactly it was that I was doing so wrong to cause this repetitive failure rate. I was a part of the 97% of the people that fail, which I'm sure you have heard that statistic somewhere on the internet by now.
I had tried to market to friends and family, only to be laughed at and made fun of. They would always say the internet is a scam or the infamous, "Isn't that like one of those pyramid things?" I actually laughed back at them every time I heard that line. Ignorance is inevitable if the research and knowledge is not present. In my personal opinion, a pyramid is Corporate America. There is a CEO at the top, in the position you will probably never get to, that gets paid the most out of all of the corporation while the employees of the company receive hourly wages. Think about it, the definition of a pyramid is:

Your average joe couldn't even tell you what a pyramid was. They just stereotype it because others do. Don't get me wrong, there are THOUSANDS of scams across the internet, but with a little due diligence, these can be avoided.
When I finally caught on to what I needed to start doing in order to market effectively, success found me. I no longer had to search for success. That is a wonderful feeling- to know that you have acquired the knowledge to make things work for you. My friends thought I would never make money from the internet. Well, I'm proud to say, that they were wrong!
